Helicopter Twirls Wildly into Palm Groves at Frequented California Shoreline
An aircraft flying over a crowded coastal coastline abruptly commenced twirling uncontrollably, finally losing altitude and crashing into a row of palm trees as spectators looked on.
Footage uploaded on the internet show the aircraft beginning to twirl above the beach then plunging in the direction of the perimeter of the coast, where it becomes wedged between palm trees and a set of stairs close to the coastal road.
Rescue Operation Update
Local firefighters reported five people were taken to hospital involving a pair who were in the helicopter and were “rescued from the debris” after the accident on the weekend.
Three individuals on the street were hurt. Specifics on their condition were not yet released.
What led to the incident was not yet disclosed.
