A Pair of Suspects Accused with Jail Killing of Ex-Lostprophets Vocalist Ian Watkins
Two men have been formally charged with murder after the jailhouse death of ex-Lostprophets frontman and convicted child sex offender Ian Watkins.
Samuel Dodsworth, 43, and Rashid Gedel, 25 stand indicted for homicide and will appear before Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, as stated by police authorities.
Watkins, 48, was undergoing a 29-year incarceration at HMP Wakefield, alongside six more years under supervision, after confessing to numerous sex crimes which included the tried rape of a very young child.
Watkins was arrested after the execution of a narcotics search warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a large number of computers, mobile phones and storage devices were seized.
